新任都昌县捕快戴宗抓获了黑帮头领孟粱。孟粱的弟弟孟灵隐出现，他设计陷害戴宗等人，并抓走戴宗母亲和妻子，要挟戴宗救出孟粱。戴宗将计就计，以孟粱交换母亲和小七，并抓获了盗取州府珠宝的罪魁祸首灵隐。
