　　上世纪九十年代末，中国大约有四五千万产业工人下岗，涉及的家庭人口更是数以亿计，贺国平就是其中一位。下岗后，妻子开出租，他成为天天炒菜做饭的“家庭主夫”，儿子贺奂也由嬉耍顽皮的孩子长大成人。二十年对这个普通家庭的跟踪拍摄，这个持续“在场”，让电影产生了“看见草生长”的时间触角。有人说，这是一部“平民史诗”。

　　Nature’s Great Events is a BBC nature documentary series broadcast from 11 February 2009.[1] The British version is narrated by David Attenborough and is being shown on BBC One and BBC HD. It should not be confused with the 1996 Reader's Digest video series of the same name.
　　In the USA, the series will broadcast on the Discovery Channel under the alternative title Nature’s Most Amazing Events.

　　本部纪录片记录了伊朗导演贾法·帕纳西因“宣传反对政权”而被囚禁家中的生活片段。帕纳西把镜头对准自己居住的公寓，对准自己，记录下了自己生活的琐碎点滴。他在等待法院对他的最终判决期间的生活，无聊而绝望。禁止电影制作无疑意味着，他将长期无法从事热爱的电影艺术。影片忠实地记录下了帕纳西面对“艺术之死”后的痛苦与无奈，但最后一个镜头却定格在熊熊烈火中，永不燃尽。
　　2010年12月20日，伊朗官方宣布了一项震惊电影界的判决：“帕纳西先生因为参加反对伊朗政府的宣传活动而被起诉，他将在狱中度过6年，并被剥夺20年社会权利。其中包括不得制作或者指导任何一部电影，不得创作剧本，不得接受国内国外媒体采访，更不得离开伊朗”。这部经历千辛万苦的影片，终于几经辗转地被秘密装进优盘，带到了第64届戛纳电影节，并入选第36届多伦多电影节的大师单元。
