　　外滩不仅是上海的符号象征，也是中国近现代历程的缩影。此次知名纪录片导演周兵带领《故宫》团队与上海纪实频道合作，将推出电影和电视2个版本的《外滩》。在导演周兵看来，如果《故宫》是一个国家的公共记忆，《外滩》应该是一个充满多种梦想的寓言。“5集的电视版中，有很多大事记，90分钟的电影版里，则有围绕着命运感情的故事。”
　　选择张爱玲、周璇、赫德等历史人物作为纪录片的主角，并拟邀演员扮演，成为《外滩》不同于以往国产纪录片的新尝试。而英法纪录片导演加盟前期策划，从法国国立音像研究院和高蒙电影公司获得的独家影像资料，也为《外滩》注入了国际市场看重的要素。纪实频道总监应启明表示，纪录片同样要看重市场，1300万元投资的《外滩》，是目前国内投资最大的纪录片项目之一，在坚持接近史实，完成纪录片使命的同时，也希望能走进院线，成为中国电影纪录片市场化的一次试航。

　　《科技新探恶魔岛》使用最先进的视觉效果“抽干”了恶名昭彰的恶魔岛周围的水。随着水的流失，揭露了恶魔岛的秘密，包括为什么岛上臭名昭著的监狱如此难以逃脱的确切原因。没有水的干扰，我们发现旧金山湾是一个迷人且嘈杂的地方。在干涸的湾底，我们看到了史诗般的地震留下的裂痕。这些断层线使科学家们知道下一个“大地震”会在何时何地发生。由于整个区域都排干了水，因此有可能看到下一次大地震袭击旧金山时会发生什么，以及尘埃落定后恶魔岛将剩下什么。
