　　法国生态电影大导演克劳德·努利德山与玛丽亚·贝兰奴，继《小宇宙》之后，历经6年的酝酿，于 2004年推出又一力作：《小宇宙 2 基因狂想曲》。影片重现亿万年前混沌乍开、熔浆奔流的壮美气魄。大地冷却、落雨成海，终于在水中孕育出地球最初的生命……
　　昆虫是无语的主角，没有旁白注脚，观众全然用自己的心思与眼耳来解读昆虫的一天。《小宇宙 2 基因狂想曲》的主题是宏观的，它讲的是自然界本身与存在于自然界中的万物，因此，人的元素被置入了——选择非洲老祖父代言，因为非洲是人类发源的摇篮，说的故事也有以口述语言传承文化的意味。
　　《小宇宙2：基因狂想曲》不仅仅是一部纪录片，它还是一部喜剧音乐电影，有刻意安排的情节、演员、也有布景与聚光灯；它希望帮助人们发掘宇宙之美、发掘动物与人类、无生物与生物之间的联贯性。当一切都能被拆解成原子，死亡不过是生命现象的转换：水母优雅地漂至岸边、静静等待生命乾涸；落叶腐果，也都有着孕育新生的使命。而人呢，如同智者所说，“某日，我将回到那个当初生我、造我的世界"。

　　绑架受害者在这部纪录影集中，详述恐怖的痛苦遭遇，重现史上最复杂且极其危险的人质谈判事件。

　　现代文明飞速发展，却有越来越多的人无法承受巨大的生活压力，选择结束自己的生命。少女伊莉娅（Shino Ogihara 饰）做着一份常人无法理解的工作，拍摄“死亡录像”。她总会跟随自杀者，拍摄他们生命的最后一刻，从生到死，冷静地记录下一切。自杀者们在镜头前叙述着人生的苦恼和悲哀，无所顾忌地敞开心扉。
　　也许这些自杀者不会想到，他们的死亡录像经过编辑，却成为迪斯科背景墙上流动的影像，并随着强劲的舞步和躁动的音乐循环播放……

　　一户人家讲述了自己的儿子被谋杀的场景。而谋杀他儿子的人就住在街道的另一边。直到今天依然权力在握，没有人敢于去追究他的责任，也没有人敢于去杀了他报仇。在官方的报道中，侩子手成为了英雄，而英雄，又成为了这个时代的传说。在沉默中，家庭在哀嚎，而事实又消于隐匿……

　　由Erich von Daniken撰写，1968年出版的畅销书《诸神的战车》提出了一个“远古外星人”的理论，颠覆了人们对于人类进程的信念。远古洞穴壁画中奇异的生物，秘鲁的飞机跑道遗迹，和印第安文字中所描述的“神的飞行器”这些反常的考古文物只是一小部分被von Daniken引用作为远古外星宇航员早已被我们的祖先所熟知的例证。
