　　《深蓝》主要讲述洛杉矶警察局卧底小组的故事。这些人「潜藏」得很深，以至于他们的很多同事根本不知道他们在干卧底工作。Carter Shaw是该小组的行动负责人，但他经常和自己的上级闹矛盾－－当然，他这也是为了自己的同事好，因为卧底工作实在太危险了。在第二季中，Carter Shaw将被迫接受FBI探员Alex Rice（Tricia Helfer）的「领导」，与FBI合作调查几起重要案件。Alex的到来，也将使Carter的个人生活发生巨大改变。
