这个故事发生在70年代的香港，一个民生困苦但充满希望的时代。阿燕和阿妙是街市上的菜贩，与肉摊的阿田和阿达交情深厚。一天，这四个朋友连同买橙的鹏哥共同投资购买了六合彩，结果中奖了。然而，事情并没有像他们想象的那样顺利。 　　他们发现鹏哥失踪了，后来才发现他在精神病院，神志不清。怀疑鹏哥欲独吞三百万彩金，四人追问之下，鹏哥声称钱放在一箱橙内。于是，四人开始寻找鹏哥藏钱的十箱橙子，而在这个过程中，彼此之间产生了猜疑。阿燕和阿田一对，与阿妙和阿达一对，开始处处针锋相对，狗咬狗骨。在追寻途中，他们引起了贼帮的窥视，使得情况更加复杂。这个故事充满了悬疑和情节的反转。

阿伦（谭咏麟）与志伟（曾志伟）打小便是一对好友，分离20年重相见时，志伟办了一家养鸡场，阿伦在一家PUB苦练歌艺，梦想成为一名歌星。志伟邂逅Olive（张曼玉）后介绍她与阿伦认识，令他们生出感情，志伟虽也心仪Olive，但鉴于兄弟情深只把情感藏在心底。 　　后来阿伦如愿以偿成为当红歌星，同志伟与Olive相处时间日益减少，令他们于“被冷落”中生出共患难的心情。一场台风摧毁养鸡场，志伟黯然离去，Olive也在了解到志伟出走真相后，悄然与阿伦分手。但三人的缘分并没到此终止。

　　I can see people will either love or hate this movie, depending on your own experiences and loves. Its basically about a incredibly obese police officer coming to terms with his own mortality (he is given a year to live at the start of the movie). It has other bits and pieces in the plot (love, mystery etc), but these are not the central ideal of the movie.
　　I found myself crying in many parts of this movie, for myself being fat (and have been my entire life... of course not to the degree of the main actor, but to a degree which has caused bullying my entire life) this story hits very close to home. And some of the subtle emotional behind the scene's stuff here definitely adds to the mood.
　　Anyone who has had any sort of eating disorder (over or under eating whatever) will recognise things in this movie, and will more then likely be in tears by the first 30 minutes of the movie.

龙重九与柳非春在行医途中，柳非春生病，龙重九打算送她去她姨夫家休养，路上巧遇京城的郎中朋友去喝喜酒，新郎白依山也是龙重九故交，便决定一起讨杯喜酒喝。到了喜宴，白依山答应婚礼后给龙重九展示自己研发的新药——回魂砂，可治疗瘟疫。然而，婚宴上闯入兵将，制住白依山。原来他是一名军医，某次为患瘟疫的俘虏治疗，病情得到控制，一夜间却又都死了，白依山无奈逃跑。龙九重接下这桩棘手的事，确定白依山无辜后便……

　　21-year-old Cioma Schönhaus won't let anyone take away his zest for life, especially not the Nazis. He wants to discover life, but has the misfortune of living as a Jewish person in Berlin in the 1940s. Since the best hiding spots are in plain sight, Cioma decides to go out into the light to escape deportation. Using the identity of a marine officer he created for himself, he throws himself into the city's nightlife and even finds a fragile hope for love during the darkest moments of the war. Throughout the day he forges IDs with just a brush, some ink and a steady hand - and saves the lives of many others. His talent puts him in more and more danger, though, and at some point Cioma's only hope to survive is a last forged ID - with his own name on it.
