 故事讲述奥利维亚梁饰演的尼基处在人生的四分之一阶段，她从大学辍学，踏上了一段改变一生的旅程，来到中国一座与世隔绝的寺庙。 回到旧金山时，她发现自己的家乡充斥着犯罪和腐败，自己的父母金(马泰饰)和美莉(陈琼华饰)被一个强大的三合会控制。她将和身边人一起，用她的武术技能和精神，保护她的社区，将罪恶绳之以法。
