This documentary follows internationally acclaimed former Royal Ballet dancer Deborah Bull as she enters the world of the Bolshoi ballet, to look at how and why the Bolshoi is an internationally renowned, world class company. Deborah explores what makes it so special different from other great ballet companies and finds out what it really takes to become a Bolshoi dancer. At the heart of this film are six archive Bolshoi Ballet recordings, never before seen outside of Russia. Deborah speaks to British dancers and journalists who recount the impact the Bolshoi has had over the last 50 years, before travelling to Moscow. There, she examines how Bolshoi dancers dont just perform to achieve the highest artistic goals for the company and for ballet, but also for Russia itself. 人类在享受物质消费时，留下的是垃圾和污染。王久良通过拍摄垃圾，来解读繁荣背后的中国，追溯出口垃圾的国家，发现了一个被物质裹挟的世界。
中外对话: 即将完成的纪录片《塑料王国》，与之前的《垃圾围城》和酝酿中的“世界的垃圾场”相比，拍摄重点和视角有什么不同？
王久良:《垃圾围城》拍摄的是北京周边的垃圾污染状况。《塑料王国》呈现的是全世界范围内的塑料垃圾在中国处理的情况。但到达中国的垃圾不仅仅是塑料，所以现在着手做的一个片子叫“世界的垃圾场”，片名还没定下来。这意味着我们要跑遍全中国寻找洋垃圾的踪影，这是个全面的地毯式的搜索。
片中的“塑料”是双关语。第一个意思是指废旧塑料本身，但它还有第二个更深的含义，表现的是外表的繁荣、实质的脆弱，类似经过 “plastic surgery” （整容手术）后，呈现出来的光鲜的外表。
经过几十年的高速发展，中国看起来物质繁荣，但背后环境污染带来的健康代价是巨大的。如果你连命都快没了，赚钱又有什么用呢？雾霾、水污染、土壤污染等等，按这些指标算下来的话，你会觉得中国的发展看起来很了不起，但其实很廉价、很脆弱，所以新片英文名字叫Plastic China，就是为了陈述这个主题。
这仅仅是中国自身的问题吗？中国因为环境问题在国际社会饱受争议，但国际大家庭实际上也扮演了并不光彩的角色，这其中就包括向中国输入垃圾。
还有一个更隐性的问题是“出口商品”。中国是世界上最大的廉价商品制造国，被誉为“世界工厂”。当一集装箱一集装箱的廉价商品运往国外的时候，带走的是什么？是资源，能源。留在中国大地上的是什么？是污染！
中国的商品运到你们国家，你们的垃圾又运回中国，生产和抛弃垃圾的环节都在中国，你们是消费者，那我的命运是在为你服务。
当国外的人们在享受着“中国制造”所带来的便利时，是否想象到，你们的生活是建立在另一个国家所付出的巨大发展代价之上的！

　　吴宇森的名字，随着他的电影作品被大众所熟知。但是人们只知道他是非常了不起的传奇人物，但是没有多少人能读懂精彩背后的吴宇森在从影路上的挣扎和绝不向困难低头的经历，没有多少人能细细品味出他的电影背后有着怎样的情怀和社会责任。当第四届北京国际电影节即将向我们走来之际，吴宇森带着他的家国情怀，出任本届电影节的评委会主席，借此契机，我们有幸将他请到《影事》演播室现场。吴导评价自己的成名之作《英雄本色》说道这部影片是几个失意的人的内心情感宣泄。
　　录制现场吴导向观众透露了影片《变脸》的创作中用歌舞片的方式拍枪战，是受到绿野仙踪的影响。在谈到作为导演的责任时，吴导说导演一定要对社会有交代。拍电影永远是在拍人的故事和情感，事件和场景并不重要。这个世界上，人们不管文化，政治的观念差异多大，人性都是共通的。吴导说“有人问我电影怎么打入国际市场，我觉得唯一的答案就是人性”。

　　因摇滚乐而获罪，我想 史上最为著名的当然是宇宙塑胶人。1976年此乐团吸引了一个忠实的粉丝，那时候该歌迷还是剧作家，他的文集要到很多年才传到我们手里。不久后，这帮坏小子被投进大牢，事实上他们的音乐完全无关政治 ——原因只是吸毒酗酒聚众滥交以及乐器分贝过高这些所谓的摇滚生活罢了。刑期并不长，几个月到一两年不等，但是这场短暂的牢狱之灾让他们青史留名——剧作家被惹怒了，他发动援救抗议活动，并藉此走上政途。接着便是10年后光彩的丝绒革命让这位宇宙塑胶人的铁粉当上了捷克总统。众多关于这个传奇乐团的文章开头都是，一个唱垮了政权的传奇摇滚乐团。
　　是的，尽管身陷囹圄，但西方人所说的真理毕竟还在摇滚乐手们这边。而他们坐牢的差不多同一年，在离捷克异常遥远的东南亚，因为音乐，有无数个摇滚乐手被砍下脑袋，连名字都没能留下。
